NJSIAA football reclassification for 2024 brings major changes to Non-Public ranks (1)

Only four days ahead of the start of the 2024 New Jersey high school football season, the NJSIAA released its reclassifications for 10 public school and two Non-Public school groups.

The classifications will be used for both the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

A gigantic surprise came in the reclassification of the Non-Public sections.

The NJSIAA reduced the number of teams in Non-Public A from 16 to eight. Six of the NPA members are from from the Super Football Conference. Only two schools south of Bergen and Essex counties remain the group -- St. Joseph (Met.) and St. Augustine.
