Brunch restaurant

Otto & Frank is a bistro located in the bustling Tkalč ćeva Street in Zagreb. The restaurant offers classic Croatian dishes such as eggs and burgers, as well as modern breakfast items such as crispy poached eggs with fresh cheese. The restaurant's atmosphere is dark but comfortable and its menu includes both traditional and modern Croatian dishes.

Perfect place in the center of Zagreb. And one of the most famous street for chill out. Perfect place, perfect and affordable food prices, excellent and creative food and service. Recommendation.

Wonderful brunch. Their signature breakfast dish is served all day and is absolutely delicious at any time. Fried poached eggs on toast with cottage cheese and greens. We also tried the fried zucchini which was served on a mesclun salad and a lovely complement to the breakfast toast.Great selection of local beers and good service. Would recommend to anyone.

Wanted to visit this restaurant for dinner due to the amazing reviews, but found it full. Finally got an opportunity to have breakfast here and we loved it. The staff is welcoming and are ready to help you with your order. We started off with a coffee and moved on to order banana bread and avocado toast. They both tasted delicious and were perfect for a morning meal. Must visit f you are staying in the area.

I have tried their Zagreb breakfast and sunny side up egg breakfast. They both were really delicious. However, the crispy baked crumb-covered poached eggs were not as interesting as I expected. It was worth trying though. But, this is a one time thing for me. The service was very nice.

Really enjoyed a lunch here.Service was okay, we had to keep calling people over to order but we didn't mind. I had the cold cucumber soup which was amazing especially if you are cold soup fan and the zucchini fritter salad.Would definitely return. Good choice of beer and cocktails too

Viewed from several website about the good qualify of food here. Average food and coffee. Food came fast. Zagreb breakfast was okay with decent amount, french toast was slightly cold. In general a normal breakfast place with no outstanding selling point. Maybe should try lunch/ dinner on another day. Location is good - at town centre but multiple people smoking in the opening area.

Recommended by our Booking host in Zagreb, it was definitely worth sticking to it. Located in one of the busiest pedestrian streets, it offered a calm and somehow not touristy feel. The food menu is a mix of local dishes (stuffed peppers with meat) and more internationally digestible ones like burgers and fries. Everything was tasty and well prepared.Drinks were well selected- both beer and wine-wise.The service was quick and adequate.

The breakfast seems amazing but it’s not the most tasty. It’s decent in my opinion, with great ideas but poorly executed. I had the gazpacho, Croatian toast breakfast and the fried zucchini and the only good thing was without a doubt the gazpacho that was not a true gazpacho. The bill was 30€ with drinks included so at least the price is really good :)

We went there for our first breakfast in Zagreb. Food was really good, but we had a rude waiter. My plate had fried eggs, and I asked if they could be scrambled, he replied “we don’t do scrambled if you want scrambled go next door”. Other than that, the food was tasty and the atmosphere is nice on the pedestrian street. My friend had the Croatian breakfast and it was good

Really nice atmosphere in the pedestrian area. Attentive and friendly staff and most important, really delicious food. I recommend the Chicken Curry but the other dishes we had were also great. Only the Pilsener could be of better quality.

Stopped by this lovely gem with great food. The tiramisu was to die for and the burgers were lovely. However, the younger server (slim and had curly hair) was very rude. I asked if we can have the food served the food across the street which belonged to the restaurant next door which only served drinks. The other restaurant was fine with it if Otto & Frank were so I had to ask. He grabbed the menu from my hand and told me I couldn't do it. I would understand but it was definitely not the way you answer a customer query. No hello, no sorry, but shooed me away. I don't know what it is perhaps he was very new. However, his other colleague approached me AD asked if he could help with anything. I explained the situation and he offered us a table on the restaurant side and was totally cool with the drinks coming from Bonn, the restaurant next door. He turned the experience around and made sure we were looked after. I would give him 5 stars but not the younger waiter. He did not have any business in hospitality at all!

Highly recommend. It's on the main street and it's always busy so better to make a reservation if you can. I got here around 10:30 and I waited for 10 minutes or so to get the table. Poached eggs toast (46kn) was delicious and the fresh orange juice was good as well. (19kn)

Their Zagreb breakfast is the stand-out dish on the menu, with a lovely poached egg that has a nice, light crumbled exterior.Sunny-side up dish was okay, lacked a bit of flavour but the peppers were well-cooked and had a tang of sweetness.French toast was the right level of sweetness, not soaking in butter though would have liked more on the plate.Homemade ice-tea was very refreshing, with strong hints of mint that made it stand-out.Also, well-priced.

Great food and craft beer selection! They have a few options for breakfast available until 12, including an all day breakfast platter.Besides that, plenty of food like burgers. They also have a nice selection of craft beer :)

Great place to enjoy “Zagreb Breakfast”, which is being served here all day. You should consider that other breakfast meals such as French Toast etc. are only until 12 am. Service can be a little slow, but all in all a nice place to visit on the prettiest alley of Zagreb.

We had breakfast there and it was really good. We tried the Zagreb breakfast and also the French toast with peanut butter and both of them were really tasty. The staff was helpful and they speak English quite well.

Breakfast was very delicious. But the service is slow. We waited for 40 minutes. If you order coffee, it comes first. I guess their culture is like that. We are used to drinking hot drinks with breakfast. If you want it with breakfast, be sure to specify it. We are used to friendly waiters. But we did not see this here. As a tourist, not being served water along with coffee may raise suspicion of discrimination.

I had breakfast here several times during my stay in Zagreb. I liked that the food looked good, tasted good, the service was fast, and the prices were reasonable. There were people waiting for seats every time I visited, which is a good indication that people love this place. The sunny-side-up breakfast had such tasty cheese, and the egg combination was perfect. I also tried the oatmeal; it wasn't too sweet, very healthy, and very good. Additionally, I sampled the Zagreb breakfast, and the poached eggs on top were amazing.

Went twice over the weekend we were in Zagreb, first for lunch which was so good we had to go back for breakfast the next day. Had the stew for lunch, which was tasty and warming perfect for a cold winter day. Went for the special breakfast with crispy poach eggs, which was even better than the stew. Service was really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended

We had an incredible stroke of luck when we visited this place. Despite it being packed and bustling with activity, we managed to secure our seats in just 5-10 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was absolutely perfect, providing excellent service. The real highlight, of course, was the food. It was truly exceptional, and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered. If you find yourself in Zagreb, I highly recommend this place. It's a must-visit for a fantastic dining experience.

Good breakfast spot if looking for something more substantial than a bakery. Seating indoor and out on one of the nice walking strips. Good options. French toast was very good

We had a delightful breakfast experience at Otto & Frank Bistro in Zagreb. The location is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The Zagrebački doručak (Zagreb's breakfast) is a must-try – a delicious highlight of our visit. The food was exceptional, and the overall atmosphere added to a perfect start to our day. Highly recommend this bistro for a memorable dining experience in Zagreb!

I had Croatian breakfast. It was delicious and healthy. Eggs are like a version of Scotch eggs but lighter. Definitely recommend 👌🏼

We enjoyed a delicious Zagrebački Doručak (Zagreb Breakfast) . Ordering two portions resulted in receiving four perfectly poached eggs, and the plate size was generous, with exceptionally tasty food. I highly recommend this place also for its great service and cozy atmosphere.

Wonderful local dishes prepared extremely well. It was a joy to eat here and I look forward to return the next time we are in Zagreb. The selection of dishes is very well balanced with a few vegetarian and vegan options. The drinks menu is extensive with plenty of local options. Considering the high quality of food and location in the very popular foodie street, the prices are very reasonable.
